Description/Abstract:

This presentation shed light onto early stage research into Re-imagining Third Space in Workshops and Technical Spaces at UCA based on an ethnographic study with international students and technicians. The data helped generate discussions around strategies to encourage the development of cross-cultural communication skills amongst both students and technicians. Hopefully, the presentation will enable exploration of how creative arts institutions' technicians can work together to internationalise the technical spaces to ensure good academic outcomes and positive feedback from international students.
