Description/Abstract:

An exhibition of block printed textiles to be held at the Crafts Study Centre in 2019/2020 (dates TBC) that draws primarily on the Crafts Study Centre's own archives, alongside examples from UCA's under-appreciated Textiles Collection.

An associated catalogue/essay will extend the exhibition narrative by placing Modern block printed textiles within modernist and primitivist contextual frameworks and draws on both art discourse and commercial design environments.

An associated authored website will also extend both narrative and material examples.
