Description/Abstract:
The performance, in the form of a dinner and lecture explores the material, process and metaphor of digestion through food, language and the senses. Set in a curved, tiered university lecture theatre on the Anglia Ruskin University campus, the performance will have two levels of engagement: a group of participant diners who will eat around a table in the centre of the theatre, and a group of spectators housed in the sloping seating, who will watch the dinner performance, listen to the lecture, and will also be invited to join the final dessert course.
