The artist spent a year collecting notes made in the margins of books in the library which were then collated into a book, Good Quote. Students were then invited to be part of a project which would use these notes as a starting point. The group of students decided to use the notes as their own form of rhetoric, reading them from a lectern in two of the college's seminar rooms.
Taken in isolation, with no reference to the original text, these notes wshow the beginnings of ideas and fragments of ntoions introduced in college lectures. The book was part of an exhibition which acts as an opening event for the new Canterbury campus library and as a record of the old library which was demolished.
