Description/Abstract:
The print is in response to an ongoing thematic enquiry into structures and facades including of industrial , rail and maritime heritage etc., with reference to associated surface and graphic qualities. It is an example of an ongoing exploration of colour, light, surface and motif within selected aspects of architecture, structure and facade. Constructed using vector software, it combines printmaking techniques and the technology of inkjet printing using pigment inks and archival substrates. It was produced as a digital print able to be presented to a scale appropriate to exhibition context.
