Description/Abstract: | Metamorphosis is an art project that involves individual artist and designers working together on international collaborative textile design/art works. The spirit of the project is to encounter the serendipitous, to work in response to a piece of work with your own creative ideas, to embrace the opportunity of receiving an anonymous work, responding to it and then sending it on to a third and final recipient for the final creative input. Each partner is asked to collect portfolios of three textile pieces which will be distributed to the other partner sites. A selection of artist or designers will be asked to make a creative intervention to these works. The portfolios will then travel to another partner site to allow for a second intervention and then to a third and final partner site where participants use the works as a basis for the final creative intervention. The finished pieces were on show at TIO3 Ronse, Belgium in 2014. |
