Description/Abstract: | This book is an enquiry into the designer’s and social scientist’s methodological position and its influence on approaches to data and visual languages. The aim of this project is to encourage debate on developments in information design and the responsibilities of the information designer and those who create and seek information. This publication also challenges ‘beautiful information’ which gives an idea of its data domain but does nothing to commit to the integrity of data. With the demand and craving of information and the developments in communication technology, we have to address and act upon the appropriation of information design and its power to use, abuse and misuse. |
