This presentation shares a visual abstract of a practice as research project, drawn from a longer film Women of Walsall, made in collaboration with Walsall for All whilst on residency in Walsall as an Arts Council/the Heritage Lottery Funded Living Memory Bursary Artist 2019-20, then exhibited in 2020 and 2021. The mission statement for Walsall for All is to create integrated empowered inclusive communities. For this presentation I will contextualise this participatory project. I will share my motivation and aims, narrate the process/challenges - successes - and then show a short film clip that draws from the large body of work.
