Description/Abstract: | BOAT® is an artistic and pedagogical research vessel designed as a mobile workshop, a work platform, an annex of the European Graduate School of Art in Brittany, going out to meet other territories, other cultures, other disciplines. This project is an initiative of teachers artists of the WEHAB, Nicolas Floc'h (Art), Erwan Mével (Design) and Jocelyn Cottencin (Communication) and UCA's Anthony Heywood (Fine Art at UCA Canterbury) and Uwe Derksen. This project is part of the European INTERREG program - ICR, which aims to bring together the border regions of the Channel. This project brings together partners from the regions of Kent, Dorset and Somerset (UK), Haute-Normandie, the Nord-Pas-de-Calais, with Brittany region and the European School of Art in Britain as a leader for the overall project. |
