Description/Abstract: | From July 2015 to March 2019, in line with the objectives and priorities of the Creative Europe programme and inspired by a long-standing experience of cooperation, the 8 partners of ONE® is more will show how classical music opens up to digital technologies and interacts with visual arts. Orchestre de Picardie (Amiens-France), Jenaer Philharmonie (Jena-Germany), Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina (Žilina-Slovakia), RTV Slo Symphony Orchestra (Ljubljana-Slovenia), Filharmonia Śląska im. Henryka Mikołaja Góreckiego (Katowice-Poland), Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra (Zlín-Czech Republic), New Symphony Orchestra (Sofia-Bulgaria) and University for the Creative Arts – UCA (Canterbury-UK) will develop innovative and creative interdisciplinary classical music experiences for larger audiences across Europe. There are three short documentaries which highlight the various aspects of the EU funded “ONE® is more” project, in order to ensure that its core aims are highlighted and shared with a diverse audience, in line with its objective of widening participation in classical music across E.U. countries. Each film features the project’s key spokespeople, together with those involved in all aspects of the project, from musicians across Europe, to UCA creatives who aim to bring classical music to new audiences. “Be the One” is a short documentary charting the experience of young oboists, who each compete to win the opportunity to perform with professional orchestras across Europe. |
