Making Dorset, in association with Evolver Magazine, has produced a publication called 'Fifty Dorset Makers' - this text celebrates and brings attention to the county's finest makers. The accompanying pop-up exhibition was held at Wolfeton Riding House, July 2017, included examples of work by the renowned designer makers, working in ceramics, glass, paper, stone, textile, wood, minerals, and metals. The makers were selected by Professor Simon Olding of the Crafts Study Centre and Simon Barber of Evolver Magazine.
Making Dorset is a long term initiative set up by the producers of Dorset Art Weeks, Dorset Visual Arts. It aims to bring more attention, recognition and celebration to the county's strong crafts community.
