The book contains botanical illustrations of medicinal herbs using pencil and watercolour by Catharine Slade.
This publication was commissioned by the Norwegian Pharmacy Museum to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The title was produced in association with an exhibition at the museum of the illustrations produced for the book.
The Norwegian Pharmacy Museum was founded on 2 May 1963. Its mission is to develop and disseminate knowledge and promote pharmaceutical history.
