This article focuses on the broad based Graphic Design course at UCA Epsom, where revalidation in 2009/2010 created opportunities to develop the student experience in new and innovative ways to encourage greater independent learning within the student body.

This article expanded on a paper delivered jointly at the CRA Residential Conference in November 2010.
