Book Live! Symposium
Waeckerlé, Emmanuelle (2012) Book Live! Symposium. In: Book Live! Symposium, 8-9 June 2012, London South Bank University. (Unpublished)
- Details
An international symposium and related live events examining the current 'transforming' and 'expanding' of the page. BOOKLIVE! was a collaboration between the Centre for Media and Cultural Research (CMCR) at London South Bank University (LSBU) and bookRoom Research Cluster at UCA Farnham.
The event brought together key players: theorists, researchers and practitioners to stimulate a dialogue across disciplines on the ability of the book to keep up with digital culture and the emergence of new modes of writing, of photography, of reading, of archiving and of disseminating 'on the page' work. The purpose of the conference was to examine the current 'transforming' and 'expanding' of the page rather than its virtual disintegration.
Emmanuelle Waeckerle was the conceptual instigator and co-chair of this symposium and live event.
She is also co-editor of the proceedings which will be published by RGAP, the Research Group for Artists Publications.
