Description/Abstract:
This is a permanent site specific commission from Stour Vallery Arts. Carboretum, located in the main King’s Wood car park, playfully confuses methods for the classification of tree species with techniques for demarcating car parking spaces. The result celebrates the car park as a threshold between two very different experiences of the English landscape, the one, as seen through a car windscreen and the other, immersed in a multi-sensory environment.
