Description/Abstract: | The essay by Chris Townsend places the photographic series 'Nonsuch' on the intersections between contemporary art and the British historical architectural tradition. The article highlights that town of Poundbury is another engaging phenomenon in the history of British urban planning since it is amongst the most recent of models of New Towns including such major developments as Milton Keynes and those projects of the Industrial Revolution such as Bourneville, New Lanark or Port Sunlight. |
