Research Statement

Research Statement:

Lina’s research as a jeweller is practice based and consists of material explorations into wood, textiles, plastics and metal in a studio-based situation. The materials and the processes connected to them, such as carving, punching and stitching is constantly influencing the work. The output is mainly exhibition based.

Winner of the Jerwood Contemporary Makers Award in 2010, Lina has held a number of residencies and has been selected to show at the prestigious Schmuck exhibition that takes place annually in Munich. Her work has also been exhibited at COLLECT and she was one of 21 selected UK makers for the Crafts Council’s Exhibition showcasing contemporary craft during the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Lina’s work is held in public collections including the UK
